Unazuki Onsen, located at the mouth of Kurobe Gorge, and known as Toyama Prefecture's best hot spring area, is said to have the clearest hot spring water in Japan. Japanese inns line the banks of the Kurobe river, and the scenery of the gorge is fantastic in all four seasons. In the onsen town, there are many restaurants where you can try local foods, and we recommend strolling along and sampling a variety of food and drinks. There are also hot spring foot baths that anyone can enjoy. From here, you can take a ride on a rail car that weaves its ways through Japan's deepest V-shaped gorge. While traversing the many bridges and tunnels, you can view Kurobe Gorge's scenery to your heart's content. The beautiful scenery along the way of the Kuronagi and Kanetsuri areas, as well as the final stop of the line. Keyakidaira, will take your breath away and leave you wide-eyed with enchantment.
